Hi, I'm looking for some junk film and a 400 ft core to practice loading my Aaton mags. In the Boston area. Can pick up or pay for shipping and pay a small fee for film or mags, whatever you think is fair.

I only have daylight spools. Or in a pinch maybe I will take the core from one of my two mags and try threading my student films on to it lol. But would really like to buy 50 feet and a 400 ft core from someone!

Could it just be that Georgia has a 30% tax credit as opposed to MA's 25%? Lack of top tier talent?

I ask because I've recently begun freelancing here and I aim to be a DP someday but I'm having trouble finding any major DP's in the state, commercial or film. They're just imported from NYC when needed. What needs to happen so that Boston can be a competitive city in the film and commercial world? I love this city and I'd rather not move!

We are in the near stages of completing our photo/video studio near the Sullivan Square Orange Line T stop that we're planning to use as a rental space as well as for our business. We are looking for a photographer/videographer who would be interested in working out a deal to help us out with day to day operations and to man the reception desk (the reception desk as shown in the photos). We require very minimal amount of work, and while working at the desk, you may edit photos, videos or do as you more or less please.

In exchange, we would provide you the use of the space to bring in your own clients and to use for your business and share some of our resources depending on the terms that we come up with. We have additional resources such as the RED Epic Dragon, Canon 1DX, 5D MK III, array of lenses, Mac Pro, and soon would be getting a recording booth with tons of audio gear. If you would like, if you acquire any customers for us, you would make a commission.

Let us know if this is any interest to you, otherwise, feel free to contact us if you would like to rent out the space.

I'm just an amateur/semi-pro in the greater Boston area looking to rent a 35mm movie camera, preferably in 3perf super35.

Local rental houses are crazy expensive so looking for a reasonable weekend rental rate from someone in the area who has the equipment. I just want to shoot home movies for fun. No other reason.

So, anyone out there interested in helping me out?

Hello!

I'm an Emerson BFA student whose DP has dropped out on him due to some scheduling issues. I am directing a short production: a surreal story about a brother who loses his sister at night and goes on a Orpheus-ian journey to get her back. I have the script, I have the money, I am casting actors right now. I am going to rent a Red for the production which I want to shoot the last weekend of August and the first weekend of September, if possible. I'm having trouble finding someone experienced with the Red willing to shoot my piece.
