Hi everyone,

I recently purchased two 100ft SE rolls of expired cinema film that was unlabeled and quite cheap.  It was with a group of others that were labeled from 1994, so I'm assuming that's around the age of these as well (Some being Fuji F-400 8582).  I plan on bulk loading these into my stills camera and doing tests with each roll, assuming they're different film stocks.

My plan:  Set up a controlled environment, light at various EI levels while logging the levels on each frame.  I've also heard expired stock should be rated at 1 additional stop greater per decade. Assuming it's from 1994, theoretically this would be rating closer to EI50.

My question:  If you were going to test these what would your process look like?

Thanks for your knowledge and input.

Best,
Jeremy

Apologies for posting in the wrong section, I just noticed there is a film stock area.

I'm guessing OP doesn't have any of that equipment, and this is presumed to be colour film.

Haha, that's correct.  It's definitely color and ECN-2 based on the remjet/color of the stock.
