Kodak Film Discounts?

I heard that Kodak gives discounts for independent film makers purchasing a number of rolls from them. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me? Thank you.

I have had discounts from Kodak for several reasons allready.

the best known discount system here in Belgium is the student-discount: 40% off everything provided you can proove it's a school-project.

Also music-videos get a small discount sometimes because Kodak, and they're right, wants to help sustain the use of film in television-production.

last time I got a discount because I shot on 7217 (vision2 200T 16mm) and since it was a very new stock, they let us have it at an introduction-price.

For a discount, it's best to contact your local official Kodak reseller and explain your situation. Here in Belgium these people are great, they really understand their customer's needs.

I shot a S-16mm music video last week here in LA and Curt Cressman and Kathy Mazza of Kodak were extremely helpful. I was able to get the filmstock I wanted at a great price.
