Aaron Zeghers Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Hi! I have a JK Optical Printer, K-103. Anyone have an idea of the value?? Light Source has been upgraded to LED which is a lot less hot and energy intensive. It also has the digital transfer box which can connect to a Canon DSLR to do digital transfers instead of film to film transfers. Can solder any cable release for any brand of camera into place to use, but canon is what is easiest. Has Super 8, 8mm and 16mm gates and two lenses. No bolex included in the sale, but everything else. For the right price I *maybe* could add a bolex. Anyone know ballpark what this would be worth? I bought it for $5k maybe 7-10 years ago or so. Need the cash for school, so planning to test it all out and sell it by May. Used it last less than a year ago. Open to offers if folks want to PM me, but have an interested party potentially already. I'm located in Winnipeg but relocating to Montreal. Best, -Aaron
Nicholas Kovats Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hi Aaron, You could also post this on, i.e. 1. Frameworks list 2. Facebook Groups such as Bolex, Super 8, Filmmakers who shoot 8mm and 16mm, etc. Best of luck! Nick K. Toronto
Site Sponsor Robert Houllahan Posted February 12 Site Sponsor Posted February 12 The JK's are really rare and in demand right now you might want to reach out to Matt McWilliams as he rebuilds these and adds his newer control system. I know there are a number of schools looking for one. 1
Nicholas Kovats Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Robert, Does Matt McWilliams have contact info or a web site?
