Early 2000s Sony Cybershot F505 - Best practise for converting AV-composite - to HDMI - to Recorder

Hey Guys.

I bought this box filled with cameras from a danish equivalent to Craigslist. In there was a Sony DSC-F505 that seems to be working, however the in-camera recording is limited to 320x240 in a unusable compressed format (think early days of 140p youtube compression). There is none the less an AV-composite out that was used for connecting the camera to a crt-tv, and so i'm thinking about recording that signal onto my blackmagic 5" monitor with hdmi input and prores recording.

Here's the question: any of you have any experience with this sort of thing? I am looking at something like THIS, but i'm a bit worried about the 720p/1080p upscaling - i just want to record the signal from the camera as unaltered as possible.

All the best - Jonatan
