Making 8 boards so there is the required 6 for the cp16r kits and two extra if there is soldering errors etc. and if those extra ones are fine too will use them later for other kits or Eclair NPR project. Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted August 23, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted August 23, 2025 I will make the final batch of CP16R 45-speed kits in November and then selling my CP16R camera (after which cannot make full kits anymore though circuit boards maybe possible to get later on if you can figure out the cabling etc by yourself). If ordered in August-September2025 the preorder price for November2025 batch is still 850usd including shipping and you would get the tcxo version. I am collecting extra funds for other projects made in September like the 4-speed Universal Motor batch so if you would pay the CP16R order in August I would include extra cables and connectors for the same price. So orders paid before 31st August will get extra accessories/supplies included because they help with the funding of other projects.
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted September 6, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted September 6, 2025 Finished the software now and will now concentrate on collecting the rest of the cables and other installation parts for the kits for Monday shipping. will post videos in couple of days, starting to make tutorials how this is installed to camera. I am making another batch of these in November2025 Â 1

Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted September 17, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted September 17, 2025 On the second and final batch of CP16R kits, I will make the cable bundles and readily soldered connectors for only the kits which are ordered beforehand early enough. I would say they need to be ordered before October 10th if you want the internal cabling with the kit too because I am making the cables in October and only the circuit boards in November. If ordering late after 10th October 2025 or buying a kit after the batch is done in November2025 it is likely not possible to get the cabling from me and you need to make your own cable bundles for the internal connections of the camera. I can help with the connectors (exact type, where to get with links, etc) but very likely I cannot make the cables here so you need to arrange the wires and connectors, crimp and solder the connectors as needed and heat shrink etc finish them to be ready for installation. the 850usd with shipping -price for the tcxo equipped 45-speed installation kit with wiring is until 10th October 2025 and after that, if there happens to be wire bundles still available, the price is 900usd with shipping. The installation kit costs 700usd without the internal wiring if bought before 15th November 2025 and after that 750usd until January 2026. After which I will check the exhange rates and adjust the pricing according to them. Shipping included in price. It is easier for me to make tons of main circuit boards than to make lots and lots of cable bundles so I will only make the cable bundles which are ordered beforehand and the rest of the kits will be made without internal wiring so that I can concentrate getting the maximum amount of main circuit boards finished. the wiring is almost 40% or 50% of the work when making multiple kits at a time so will rather make tons of extra circuit boards (which people can't make by themselves at home) than making tons of extra cabling (which is easy-ish though time consuming for people to make diy at home with minimal tools and money).Â

Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted September 22, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted September 22, 2025 1st batch installation kits finally started shipping, sent first one today and the rest will be sent later this week. Like mentioned, I will make the second and final batch in November2025 and if someone needing new CP16R electronics will need to order from that second batch asap. After November I will likely only have couple of extra main boards and panels available without internal cabling so best to preorder in time if wanting a full installation kit without needing to make one's own cables to connect the parts together
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted September 23, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted September 23, 2025 testing the final kits with my own camera before sending them. It is easiest to test the main boards and encoder boards this way. the panels can stay on the side during testing. Two more to test, should have all kits shipped by Friday. Â

Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted December 13, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted December 13, 2025 The second batch of CP16R kits is late, just started assembling the boards. I can only make one extra kit for now so really small batch. If someone still needs a CP16R 45-speed kit contact me asap so that I can reserve that one remaining board for you. I can try to make couple more boards in late Spring or early Summer if there is orders but have lots of other work so would need paid orders now in Winter to arrange time for that, especially to keep my cp16r camera a little longer to be able to fully test the boards in the possible last batch. Otherwise I will sell the camera pretty soon.
