Bauer A506 battery door?

My favourite compact S8 camera has a degrading battery door. Anyone have ideas to fix or know of any options other than look for another model with same type of door? I have already glued it once, lengthways but now appears to be breaking down crossways.

I haven’t seen anyone selling this as a spare part. And as it includes metal parts, it’s also not available as a 3D printed object.

So your best option is to search for cheap „parts only“/„untested“ cameras on eBay, hoping that the A506, A508 and A512 share the same battery compartment and that the battery door is still intact on these donor cams, e.g.:

Any replacement would be a similar age and liable to go the same way.

It might be possible to 3D-print the plastic part and transfer over the metal parts, if intact.

That sure will be one expensive battery door cover! And of course, you will leave that market with another armful of gear!

Ive noticed that the "C" series Bauers have the same cover...maybe a cheaper option?
