Michel Rabe Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 (edited) Hi, are there small, affordable LEDs that are accurate enough to double as a 6500K bias light for color grading? I grade my own small projects at home, I could buy a Medialight bias light, but with import duties it isn't that affordable anymore. The second option is to get a small LED that I could use on set but is also accurate enough to rival a Medialight MK2 at 6500K. Any suggestions? There are units like Kelvin Play that seem to be great but too expensive for the rather occasional use on set. There are also cheap Chinese units, which got better and better during the last years. iFootage lights get pretty accurate readings in tests from Newsshooter.com for example. So for me it's a but fuzzy how far behind these cheaper alternatives really are in 2025. Edited July 31, 2025 by Michel Rabe
