Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted September 3, 2025 Premium Member Posted September 3, 2025 I would have possibility to design newly made control boards for this Perfectone motor type if there is enough interest. Would try to keep it affordable and simple so that the update would be between 450 and 600 euros depending on which original parts like encoder, connectors etc can be used and how badly oxidized the screws etc are. How many of you have a broken Perfectone like this which could use completely new boards? The original electric motor drive needs to work but would replace all the original circuit boards with my newly made ones. dm here or on instagram (aaplet14) . Speed options and other features depend on how many orders there would be on the first batch to fund the r&d. 2
Theo Thompson Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 Hey Aapo, I've been following your work on eclair motors, I have a one of these motors that has failed. I'm not sure how this circuit board project has progressed, but I believe the board in mine is functional, the light activates when turned on, a very faint click is heard but the motor doesn't move at all. assuming it needs a replacement transistor. Would you be able to repair it?

Would you be able to repair it? the owner of the original sample motor did not want to upgrade it and I just sent it back. There was some interest in the upgrading of the boards of these motors to modern ones but no orders. Can still check in December/January if there is enough interest and paid orders (around 5 or so) to start the board project but looks like it is likely that the update will not be made at all and I will concentrate on the newly made NPR motors instead. For repairing the original, I have overbooked the November - December - January - February so looks like not having time to look at your motor. Often they have more than one faulty component and it would be better if someone who has the schematics looks at it. One often needs to measure quite a lot of stuff to determine the actual fault but hopefully it is just some single component and it starts to work fine
Theo Thompson Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Thanks for the considered response, Yea I would much prefer the budget 4 speed- Could you recommend anyone in EU/UK that has schematics/ can repair it? I'm seeing if anthony simpson can but any advice would be golden! Thanks so much!
