Kay Osbourne Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) I have recently purchased some old film reels and I am interested in capturing the images AND the audio tracks as the reels contain live music. Has anyone used the Arriscan XT with the optical sound decoding software? Any other scanner(s) you would recommend for scanning audio on film? Thx KO Edited October 7 by Kay Osbourne
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted October 7 Premium Member Posted October 7 I use AEO-Light to decode soundtrack from an overscan. It's really easy to do yourself, just need an over-scan of the film and you're good to go. I assume the Arriscan uses a similar process, but I have never used it for audio workflow. The Scan Station, Blackmagic Cintel and Spirit can do sound reading in real time no problem.
