Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted October 22 Premium Member Posted October 22 I‘m just putting out some feelers to see if there might be any interest in a 2 or 3 day Bolex Service Workshop for people in the EU or UK. It would be held in Amsterdam in January 2026, conducted by myself, a professional camera/lens technician with 20 years experience working on Bolexes. I’m often asked where people can learn movie camera maintenance, perhaps this is one way to pass on some knowledge. My thoughts were that people could bring a camera they want serviced, plus some tools, and we can go through the process together. Ideally it would be people who have tinkered with a Bolex before, but want to have a deeper understanding of how their camera works and what an overhaul procedure entails. Feel free to message me or email cinetinker@gmail.com if interested. 1
Don Cunningham Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) If I lived in Europe I would definitely attend as my H16 is my go to camera. Photos, instructions, and video would be great to document for repairs and maintenance you do frequently that could be made available for a fee? Edited October 24 by Don Cunningham
Jon O'Brien Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I'd be interested in a workshop in Melbourne Dom, if you do them. Though I've never tinkered on a Bolex.
Tyler Fukuda Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Would be interested in a video as well (if someone is willing to record such an event) 1
Mohammed Sagar Posted Wednesday at 03:03 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:03 AM HI Not based in Eu so would be amazing If there a video of this.
Phillip Mosness Posted Wednesday at 03:54 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:54 PM I suspect a US version of this would be popular and well attended. Maybe a world tour with T-shirts and everything.
