Hello everyone, recently i put my hands on my sekonic L 758D wich I have always used for videos. At 1\50 in ambient mode the readings in a dark room are like F36, F51, F90 and so on,. Do you know what I did wrong? I tried to see if there was something strange in adjustement but it is not. Thanks!!WXbWVazcDAEd.png?o=1

Not at all familiar with your meter but could it be set for ev, foot candles,  lumens ???

As my merciless flight instructor used to tell me....

RTFM

Hi Doyle, thank you for your (not so kind) reply. If I hadn't read my f* manual, I wouldn't be here on a forum looking for a solution. Foot candles, EV, etc. weren't the problem because, apart from the fact that changing to fc or EV also changes the symbols and the readings are not preceded by the symbol “F” as you can see in the photo, the light meter gave readings that were completely off scale in a rather dark interior and went into overexposure (e.o symbol) when I exposed for highlights outdoors. In any case, it is difficult to find valid information on this light meter as the technology has been out of production for about 10 years. After weeks of research, I solved the problem by downloading a driver that allowed me to read my Sekonic on my Mac via the data transfer software, resetting most of the parameters. The problem was with the firmware.

Here is the link to the driver: https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/Mac_OSX_VCP_Driver.zip

If you don't know the light meter and don't want to help me but treat me like an idiot, what prompts you to respond?
