Heikki Repo Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Sorry to hear that! I called him in September and he did sound somewhat tired. Eternal rest and perpetual light! 🙏 1
Premium Member Uli Meyer Posted December 10, 2025 Premium Member Posted December 10, 2025 Never met the man but heard so much about him. Condolences to the family. RIP.
Giray Izcan Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Les converted my NPR to s16, which I still have to pick up. We had some great conversations over the phone, unfortunately never had to pleasure of meeting him in person, about cameras, about some life stuff. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.. I hope Les is in heaven, where he belongs.. 3
Premium Member Gregg MacPherson Posted December 12, 2025 Premium Member Posted December 12, 2025 On a pragmatic level, that's one less Eclair expert on planet Earth. Did he have a son that worked with him?
Giray Izcan Posted December 12, 2025 Posted December 12, 2025 (edited) Yes, he did. I am not really sure if he will keep the business or let it go. I believe they were working together actually. Edited December 12, 2025 by Giray Izcan
Geffen Avraham Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 If anyone knows his son, I would love to put together an archive of his methods and techniques... these methods should not be lost from the earth. 1 2

His son Chris has at times replied from his email, so it might be possible to reach him that way. 1
