Bob Beresh Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi There. I am looking to see if there is a way to download the now unsupported Digital Sputnik control app for iOS. The fixtures are great and just want to have the flexibility to quickly control them natively as a group, or individually. I have had good luck with controlling one fixture at a time with ARRI Stellar, but it was a bit of a hack to get it working. Don’t want to have to set up a separate WiFi network each time the fixtures are used. Thanks for your help. Any insights or particularly cool use cases for these lights are also appreciated. - Bob
Brandon Obey Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I’m in the same boat. I have 4x 4ft Voyager that I can’t use. I hit the company up on Instagram but they never contacted me back. I love DS Voyagers. I mainly used them as my key light on production. The way the rendered skin ton was top notch.

If it’s any consolation, that Voyager could probably be used standalone and connected to Stellar. After hacking around a bit, I found that the profile which gave me the best response was iRGB 8. Think this is an ArtNet DMX protocol, but I’m talking out my ass mostly so it could be something else. Connect phone to the Digital Sputnik WiFi. Disregard the “no internet” message. Open Stellar and add a custom fixture. Too good a fixture to be sitting idle. 1

I gotta charge the lights up first. I’m thinking of making one of the lights the router and have the remaining 3 link up to that one then I will link the router-light to Stellar app, then maybe all the lights will be connected to Stellar. Will let you know if it works. I hope it does. I love these lights.

See photos For the DS-1 series I have, I selected “Generic” then “Intensity+RGBW” and had a play around with the correct DMX channel and universe number to match the setup on the fixture’s display.

Copy will give it a try. Also heard of a way to use them using the Luminar app also
