Janis Lionel Huber Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Hello, I just want to make sure that I got this right, cause even after reading many threads and the manual there is still confusion: I have a late Arri SR1 HS (which apparently apart from the light meter is an SR II). I have a Zeiss 10-100 T2 MK II. The guy who sold the camera insisted its a standard mount. But that lens was only produced in Bayonet Mount, right? So from what I understood is my SR takes Standard mount but there is a Arri B-Mount would be compatible with any B-Mount lenses. So this should also mean I could get easily a B-Mount to PL-Mount adapter, if I want to use this lens on other cameras? Has anyone done this here and is there a protrusion problem which needs a specific adapter? Thanks for the help.
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted February 17 Premium Member Posted February 17 You are correct on all counts. No protrusion issues with Arri B to PL adapters I can think of. Get an adapter that uses a lock ring rather than grub screws to secure it. More expensive, but more secure, more accurate and less damage caused. 1

And are the locking ring mounts easy to take on and off, e.g. if I want to dynamically switch to PL for my digital camera and back B-Mount for my 16mm?
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted February 19 Premium Member Posted February 19 Yes, very easy to install and remove. Just check with the seller about compatibilty with your digital cam, some PL mounts have interior baffles that can foul on adapters.
