Premium Member Uli Meyer Posted May 2 Premium Member Posted May 2 Looking for advice regarding a squeaky MYT slider. I bought it last week at an auction for very little money. It’s in excellent cosmetic condition, but as you can see and hear, it doesn’t slide properly. The bearings are clean, the small wheels are clean—everything looks as it should—but it rattles, squeaks, and doesn’t move smoothly at all. MYT’s maintenance advice is not to use oil, so I haven’t. Has anyone had a similar problem with a MYT slider? What can be done to fix this?

Apart from one, the little wheel inside each one squeaks. The whole thing drags when putting pressure on them. These are their patented bearings. I can't see any way to fix them. Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted May 3 Premium Member Posted May 3 Is it a bearing or just a nylon roller on a shaft? For a nylon roller I‘d try some white lithium grease on the shaft or if you can’t remove it maybe try some PTFE spray. Nylon is meant to be self-lubricating, but maybe dirt has embedded. 1
