John Salim Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Ok, so this was the press pack attending the UK's prime minister's resignation yesterday, but who was shooting 16mm film on two vintage Bolex H16 cameras ? John SĀ š 1
Joerg Polzfusz Posted June 23 Posted June 23 (edited) According to a thread on reddit, the cameras belong to Paul Daly. https://paul-daly.co.uk/ Ā Ā Edited June 23 by Joerg Polzfusz

Jon O'Brien Posted June 23 Posted June 23 When I was a kid in grade 9, my school took us on an excursion to a TV station in Brisbane. It was just at the time when TV news was transitioning to video for all of their reporting. I was well aware of the technical change, being into film from a young age. We were walking around the studios and 'backlot' and I was looking for any evidence for ongoing use of film. Sure enough, on the ground, I found a short length of 16mm reversal film, with magnetic soundtrack on one edge. I kept that bit of film for years. I always loved film. I don't even know why. I just love the look of it, even for things like TV news and documentaries.
