Edith blazek Posted June 30 Posted June 30 For reasons I won't get into here, I would like to know how useful the 416 plus hs is for sync sound at higher framerates, like 90 or for shits and giggles, 150 fps, can it be used for sync sound at higher framerates? Is the 29db figure ONLY for 24fps and thus louder at higher framerates making it not useful in that case?
Giray Izcan Posted June 30 Posted June 30 29 db should be at high speeds. At 24fps, they should be 20db and less.. 29db is Eclair, CP, SR 1 and some sr2 territory.
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted June 30 Premium Member Posted June 30 The 416 is around 20 - 22db @ 24. At high speed, it's a lot louder. It's tuned for those 23,98, 24, 25 and 30 speeds. Once ya get much past 30, the pulldown noise increases substantially. Where it's way quieter than the SR3 at high speed, it's still going to be pretty loud. I haven't run one at 90 before, but at 75 (the base/standard camera HS) its very audible.
