Nick Staniszewski Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I've been having trouble figuring out how to grade my shots in forests and landscapes to have a luscious, deep/dark green feel. It feels like everytime I'm grading them, I end up with an artificial feeling green that is too heavily saturated or too bright in hue. Does anyone have any tips for where to put the greens of evergreen forests? For context, footage is shot in D-Log from Mavic 3.
Nicolas POISSON Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I am no pro grader. I take sample pictures of projects I like and measure them. IRE will not tell much about saturation. A vector-scope might help, but it's hard to read the values of select objects. I find that the best tool is one of the simplest: a colour picker to get the R,G,B coordinates. I often blur the image a lot to average neighbouring values.
