James Ewen
Fantastic ad. Does anybody have an idea how this was shot? James Ewen DP Earthmedia Mozambique
James Ewen
Apologies. It seems I had a serious lapse of concentration when posting this. It is of course meant to be Jack White 'COKE' ad, and here is the URL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWoLu_Hvbbw&eurl James Ewen DP Earthmedia Mozambique
James Steven Beverly
I don't know for sure but it isn't that hard to figure out, computers and compositing software w/ a greenscreened background. It was done in layers simaller to bullettime but instead of a bunch if still camera in a circle all going off at once then stitched together and a virtual camera dollying around the subject, a timelapse camera shot 1 frame every 1/2 second or so and they were composited into a panarama and a virtual camera dollied right using matchmovie software w/ the background layered in. Premium Member Adam Frisch FSF Posted April 23, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted April 23, 2006 I think it's much simpler than that. Moco with people standing still, that's all. I have a DP friend that does much bigger stuff than I do, and he shot a whole series of these type of commercials where people are frozen in time and the camera dollies around and stuff. They were all achieved by having people on strings, standing still and starching clothing so they look like they're in mid motion. It works flawlessly and you can't tell at all. Adam, Exactly, the shadows on the ground shows that the sun was moving and varied in brightness throughout the shoot. Cheers Stephen
