Jon-Hebert Barto
The Declaration of Independent Filmmaking I just read this and thought I'd tell you folk it's pretty sweet. Could I make a more intelligent observation? I hope so, but the sweep of the book is very intoxicating and I feel "sweet book" sums that up just fine. I might add that the writing style is a big part of their success with this book. I don't want to sound disrespectful when I say this, but writing a screenplay and a book are two very different things and I was a little surprised at how well done it was. Some insperational film books are cute (Rebel W/O A Crew) and more are just boring. The Polish Bros. escaped these traps and put out a timeless work. Check it out while there is still summer reading fun to be had! -Jonnie Edited August 13, 2006 by BARCA
