Premium Member Hal Smith Posted August 21, 2006 Premium Member Posted August 21, 2006 Have a 2b, need the adapter. I could make one I guess, but seems like a lot of hassle. I'll try some mind reading here: If you ever plan to buy one of the modern sync motors like a Cinematography Electronics or (much cheaper) a Tobin TXM-21ab you won't need a hihat. They both fit on a standard tripod plate, also there is a pretty large collection of flat-base adapters for the original Arri motors that show up on eBay all the time. On the other hand, if you've got an Arri 2 that you mainly use handheld but just need the occasional tripod support for it then you are looking for a hihat. Visual Products usually has one lying around.
Stephen Eckelberry Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Thanks for the tips. I don't use the camera often, so it's not worth buying a tobin motor at this point. I'll check Visual Products.
Guest ReadyTeddy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Stephen: I've had the same problems trying to locate one of these for my Arri. I sent you a message through the board. Please get back to me. Ted
