Olex Kalynychenko
How does KONVAS stop the shutter in closed position when its off? By electronically via sensor feedback (like in CP-16R cameras) or mechanically (like in Bolex cameras)? Hi Erkan. The stop the shutter in closed position have electrical motors with crystal sync electronics only. This is 17EP-16 APK, 18EP-16 APK, 19 EP-16 APK. the other motors have not this possibilities ( 15 EPSS ) and you must set mirror disk manually. The motors with parking function have disk with cut on axis of motor and optical sensor. If the motor move on stop mode, the electronics read a signal from optical sensor and stop axis on fixed position. The original electronics of 17, 18, 19 EP-16 APK motors have a some inertia and motor can turn a axis on a few turns until a stoping. The modern electronics with microprocessor control have very good a parking function and stoping a axis on parking position with confidently. This is electronics have very good algorithm control of function of parking. The old Konvas-1 camera with mechanical clock spring motors had mechanical function of stoping a mirror disk in closed position. The next version of Konvas-1 cameras with electrical motors had similar mechanism with on-off switch. But, if you forget set on "disconnect" position of a mechanism of mechanical stoping and will use electrical motor, you can destroy a gears of electrical motor.
