Vincent Matthias
As I looked through the posts, I realised a number of people have DIY-ed many stuffs from dollies, to jibs, to dimmers, to kinos, etc.. Was just wondering how'd you DIY a kino? Doesn't it need a ballast?? Vincent

Rupert MacCarthy-Morrogh
Hi, You can buy flicker-free fluorescent lighting ballasts very easily. Phil Hi Vincent & Phil We are usinhg these with great results to light a green screen, think of them as Divas for the broke ;-) http://www.3countieshydroponics.co.uk/page...on_sundries.htm We swapped out the bulbs for warm (3200k) and they match our tungsten units Regards Rupert MCM
Joseph Carney
Check out this place... http://ahsupply.com they offer high speed electronic ballasts and reflectors for biax type flos (21" long). You can order color balanced flos from lowel if needed. A guy over at dvinfo.net has built a nice 4x55watt kit with around 2K output. No flicker. His kit was very much like a Diva set. chris evans
If you go to Home Depot ro Lowe's, look through the bulb isle. You can find screw in floresents that go into a lamp fixture, read the packages, some of the full spectrum bulbs put out 5000°K. They also come in different wattages. Pretty much all of them that I have seen are not dimmable. I like using these in china balls.
