Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted January 27, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted January 27, 2004 Hi, Naming no names, I recently shot a very very low budget short. DSR-570, reasonable amount of grip gear, small volvo-sized lighting package. The script was OK and the cast was pretty good, including someone that any soap fan in the UK would recognise. The schedule was ridiculous, but under the efforts of a superb AD we got it done and I had high hopes for it. However, having been promised a supervised colour session, I've just received a DVD in the post which has been colour "corrected" in a manner which I would variously describe as bad, wrong, incorrect, bloody awful and a near-criminal assault on material which frankly could not possibly have been that bad if I shot it with my eyes closed. I'm not particularly wound up over one production, but hey. That does it. I am never, ever in my entire life going to shoot anything cheap for anyone ever again. The only time I get to shoot anything decent is when I control the production. No more awful bloody Shooting People shorts, ever. Phil
