Jon-Hebert Barto
Hey, all.... I just purchased an old Bolex P1 regular D8 camera off Ebay. Lately I have a surging interest in older regular 8mm cameras, namely Bolex. They just seem so timeless and classic looking.... Anyway, I got it to reside on a shelf of curiosity but obviously I'm gonna shoot a little with it....Question is : "Where should I send it for a little once-over?" Even though it will spend most of it's life on a shelf I want to bring it back to glory. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong except a little lag in the clock mechanism (like it needs oil?) It was unwound all the way AFAIK when I recieved it today. All-in-all it is good cosmetic condition, the reel house is clean and the lens focus and zoom work well. Anyone in particular you Bolex-heads like to send your cameras...? Perhaps Bernie O.? Maybe i just answered my own question... Thanks in advance-Jonnie
