Do you mean Tim Burton's first "Batman" (1989)?

That was shot in standard 35mm 1.85 by Roger Pratt on the 500 ASA 5295 stock, which was originally designed for bluescreen work, being slightly finer-grained, sharper, and more contrasty that it's companion, 5294. Both were replaced in 1989 by EXR 500T 5296. There was a period of a few years where DP's sort of alternated between 5295 and 5294 depending on their tastes.

"Batman Returns" looked a lot better, being entirely shot on 100 ASA 5248 (EXR 100T) despite the huge soundstages being used. But it didn't go for the film noir lighting style of the first "Batman".

The third film was shot on 5298 and the fourth on 5279.
