Werner Klipsch
Hi, As they are not sold in Europe, is that an issue? Stephen Possibly not. I am not trying to scare people. You may never have a problem, but is it silly that I would suggest people find these things out for sure? The worst-case is a camera impounded by customs, that you were hoping would start earning the money to pay for the hole it has made in your credit card :( I am not an expert, but I believe if you fly over to California your self, pick up the camera yourself, and then dirty it up somewhat so it looks "used'" you may get it through customs without being noticed. However, if you are having it freighted in brand new sparkly sparkly all by itself, it will have to clear customs, duty may have to be paid, and questions might get asked about electromagnet emissions. It is possible trans Atlantic airfare will be less than the cost of doing it the official way! Ask Jannard. There are EC regulations on everything, from corn flakes to helicopters, there is bound to ones for sunglasses, so he should know something about that. Most certainly would be if you were willing to sneak it through the green channel. Phil
