Julia Gers Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 So this guy Sam Bayer shoots/directs all of Green Days video. I really liked this video. Anyone know what kind of camera it was shot with? Just curious.
Premium Member Kevin Zanit Posted June 4, 2007 Premium Member Posted June 4, 2007 I know Sam Bayer owns "Dragon Cam" which rents cameras through Panavision. He has a bunch of Panavised 435s, and as far as I know those are the cameras he uses on all his shows. Some of his more recent videos have a lot of dialogue in them, so I don't know if they just tried to quiet down a 435 or if he brought a sound camera on. Kevin Zanit
Alexander Joyce Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Remember this ran on MTV when American Idiot was released. You can see the 435 there. What I found the most interesting though was the old projector they used for the screening in the hangar. Still hanging in there  You might wanna skip some of the stuff at the start.
Julia Gers Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 I like that they didn't use a green screen. The projection thing was really cool.

Yes, and for the look they were going for it would have been pointless anyways. Green Day have always had great videos. Basket Case I just couldn't help myself. It's so great. I think this is where they got the inspiration for the London 2012 logo.
