Ken Zukin Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Is there any earthly reason to buy the larger, more expensive deck? I can get a great deal on a B-stock AJ-SD930, but it's still thousands more than a new SD93. Thanks, Ken Zukin
Rod Butler Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I know that if you're primarily editing in non-linear (like Final Cut Pro) and using Firewire, the smaller 93 has Firewire out and is a great feeder deck. The larger 930 has more options for output, and more functions, but you'll have to pay a grand or more for the optional Firewire output card. So it depends on the editing environment. You can find more info on the Panasonic website.
