dangertree Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Hi, I have a chance to use some Cine Kowa T1.25 primes for a pretty good rate. Not close enough to me for tests. Wondering if anyone has used such lenses, if so, any opinions? Deciding between these and some older Zeiss speeds (for more $). Cheers!

But my memory tells me that they were inferior to Zeiss SuperSpeeds. However, back in the day individual lens quality varied far more than it does today, so it is possible that your friend has an excellent set of Kowas. Do you know it they cover Super-16? Is there a camera rental house near him that you can pay to evaluate the set for you?

I was wondering the same thing about the CP Ultra-T's. i know those were japanese made, and same T stop. Did Kowa manufacture for CP? Thanks for the replys.
