Liam Dale
Would it be possible to capture fireflys on any of the color super-8 stocks, or would they be too dim?

The Vision 500T should probably capture them.
Liam Dale
Thank you. For a follow-up, not wanting to use such a sensitive stock for the entire film, could you recommend stocks that would mix well, not obviously stand out as different stocks? Raz Birger
Maybe the Vision2 200T will be fine... But the reversal stocks won't be good at all, the E100D is the most sensitive available stock, and 100 ISO is not enough. Anyway, the 500T is the best stock for your needs. Liam Dale
Should we assume you are shooting some of your film during the day and don't want to use 500T? Yes, I would shoot the fireflys in the evening, but obviously the entire film wouldn't take place in the evening and I was wondering what slower stocks might best match the 500T for daytime shooting. Robert Hughes
Vision 200T will cut well with your 500T but may be overexposed in direct sunlight. You can use a neutral density filter to control it, or get one of the Pro8/Spectra stocks to work more in the "sweet spot" of your camera.
Matthew Buick
Apart from higher grain count on the 500T they should mix very well.
