I am currently a videographer for the Army at Fort Bragg, NC, and dream of shooting film for a living one day. My main questions would be: How are the majority of camera/lighting jobs landed? What do producers/directors look for when they hire a DP/camera operator-assistant/grip...? Also, if you could describe any experiences working in this area and anything you found better/worse about it than other regions. Bob Hayes Posted February 6, 2004 Share Posted February 6, 2004 I've shot features and MOW's in both North and South Carolina. There are great crews and a very film friendly environment to be found.
