J. Lamar King IMPOSTOR
Anybody got any tips on exporting movies from Adobe PPro 1.5 compressed for use on the web? It seems that no matter what I do I cannot get it to export a movie less than 70,000 KB. It's only a 2 minute flick.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted September 28, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 28, 2004 Hi, Which codec are you using? I'm not sure exactly what Pro comes with, but you might be best served by downloading one of the MPEG-4 codecs and having a play with that. J. Lamar King IMPOSTOR
Hi Phil, It has Sorenson and Sorenson 3, cinepak and some others I never heard of. Where do I download an MPEG-4 codec?
Alvin Pingol
DivX is an MPEG4 codec...
J. Lamar King IMPOSTOR
DivX is an MPEG4 codec... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I just figured that out. As you can tell, I have no clue about this web compression stuff. Just direct me to the eyepiece. Anyway I did get one compressed to 3.3MB which will do. Thanks. Bob Hayes
I'm still looking for a good Adobe Premiere forum. The official forum isn't too user friendly.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted September 28, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 28, 2004 Hi, Well, until you do, I use it every day, so feel free to point questions in my direction. Wouldn't want to clutter this forum with them. Phil
Carlos M. Icaza
Actually, I wouldn't mind also seeing the questions as I am too embarking on editing a project in Premiere. C.-
Guest Daniel J. Ashley-Smith
Seriously get DivX. I and many other people use it all the time. It's got one of the best compression systems you could ever find. That and Xvid and 3ivX, although, stick with DivX. divx.com
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted October 1, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted October 1, 2004 Hi, DivX has problems with sync offsets in VirtualDub 1.5.10; I've had serious problems with it. Xvid is not as configurable, but I find it to be more reliable. Phil
