Annie Wengenroth
You label everybody's Christmas presents with white 1" tape and a Sharpie. And wrap them with 1/2" marking tape (red and green for the festivities). Uh, yeah...I ran out of Scotch tape and those silly gift labels. :P Happy Holidays, everyone! Jonathan Bowerbank
I just used some 1" white cloth tape to counter-weight the sensor label on a CD from the library, so it would play properly in my CD drive. :)

No, if you were REALLY hardcore, you'd have broken out the label maker and velcro. :) I had to take my Cinema Display to the Apple Store recently and had to tape up the cardboard box it came in with 2" black gaff. I got a lot of odd looks, so I guess they weren't film people. Happy holidays!
Allen Achterberg
I'm using some 35mm Dummi rolls to make the bows... my girlfriend may be getting sick of film bows. used them for her birthdays too.

Ooh... film bows are a great idea! Is there an art to shaping them? Do you have a picture? I recently labelled all of my folders full of paperwork and assignments for the year with 1" camera tape and a permanent texta, ready to hand up. When you're on set during shopping hours you don't have time to buy proper stationery! Merry Christmas everyone!
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted December 22, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted December 22, 2007 I decided to "wrap" all my presents in film canisters, because, a retarded monkey could wrap a present better than I. I'm thinking for bows this year, I despool some miniDV tapes I've had around forever. This first Christmas with the new G/f will certainly be memorable. . . Rory Hanrahan
Ha ha ha! That's great Annie! I felt bad about wrapping my gifts with paper or gaff, I forced myself to get "real tape". Glad I'm not the only AC out there that faced this dilemma! Happy Holidays!
Mark Dunn
Gaffer tape is a lot dearer per foot than Sellotape. Mind you, it does peel off the wrapping paper without damaging it...

I'll make another in the next day or so and post a picture. Allen
