Premium Member John Sprung Posted March 28, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted March 28, 2008 .... one is a 2/3" ccd camera and the other has a 35mm sensor and you're really comparing apples and oranges. More like apples and watermellons. ;-) The 2/3" image is somewhere between Super-8 and Regular 16 in size: 0.378" x 0.213" = 0.0805 square inches. The 16:9 extraction from full aperture 35mm is over six times larger: 0.945" x 0.531" = 0.5018 square inches. -- J.S.
