Photographic sensitivity

How would stocks like xx19 or eterna fit into a comparison of broadly spectrally sensitive medium? Are devices like a liquid cooled scientific or spy satellite CCD or Cmos sensor(s) more sensitive over a range of spectra than an emulsion like xx19 which seems to about as broadly sensitive to light as anything made. Understanding a "gain" boost from the A/D on a sensor or a post gain and noise floor acceleration and reciprocity failure.

Well, natively, digital and film are different animals, with silver halide crystals having peak sensitivity in the Ultraviolet-Blue region of the light and digital sensors having a native sensitivity at the red-infrared end of the spectrum. They crystals/sensors have to be modified with dyes or filtered to closer approximate the visible characteristics of the human eye.
