Guest Adam Price
I've seen a lot of Chicago people on the forum here. It seems natural for a Chicago sub-forum. Any interest?

Elliot Rudmann
If Boston gets its own sub-forum, then why not Chicago? Chicago gets a hell of a lot more feature work than in Boston! It has more rental and post houses too, so why no Chicago forum? In fact there's not a single midwest state represented in the Community Subforum section. DANE EARL
I'll cast another vote in favor of the Chicago sub forum. I agree with elliot, where the heck are all of the midwest states? Where's Detroit? Sure sure Detroit has now taken the torch as the murder capital, but Michigan has a lot to offer now that Jenny Granholm is giving out incentives to the industry. Veronica Burke
There should definitely be one for Chicago or the Midwest states. Chicago has the 3rd biggest market area in the country, so why don't we have one?

Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted October 10, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted October 10, 2009 I've been to Chicago - on my way to other places. Last time I went it was horrible! The plane was late and I had to spend the night in an unpleasant "airport" hotel forty minutes from the airport - at my expense! And there wasn't even any pizza! Sorry, but this sort of thing does rather colour one's views of a place.
Ben Syverson
So you had one bad flight at O'Hare, and that colored your view of Chicago? If you judged all cities by their airports, you would be forced to conclude that New York was a backwater and Baltimore was a modern city on the move. Add me to the list of people wanting a Chicago sub-forum. I mean, do Boston, SF or Seattle even have film labs anymore? It's insulting.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted March 22, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted March 22, 2010 Well, I mean, there should at least have been pizza.
Premium Member Hal Smith Posted March 22, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted March 22, 2010 Well, I mean, there should at least have been pizza. Chicago pizza is good...but the best pizza in the universe is Mata's Greek Pizza in Anniston, AL. And yes, I'm an ex-Chicagoan and ate pizza at both Pizzaria's Uno and Due a zillion times

Ben Syverson
Believe it or not, when it comes to pizza in Chicago these days, thin is in! Next time any of you are in town, you should by all means check out Coalfire Pizza or Spacca Napoli.
Premium Member Hal Smith Posted March 24, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted March 24, 2010 New Yorkers talk about what's happening on Broadway. Los Angelans are hip to Hollywood and weed. Chicagoans know architecture and the finer points of pizza. Okies? Holy poop, here comes another tornado.
Premium Member Tim Carroll Posted March 29, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted March 29, 2010 Definitely another vote for a Chicago Sub-Forum. Sure, we shoot mostly commercials here, but do have the occasional feature. We need a Chicago Sub-Forum. Best, -Tim
