Curtis Bouvier
here is the type of color i am discussing http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1063/rollup.jpg and probably what it would have looked like with out a filter (done with photoshop) http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/8688/rollup2.jpg Now this was filmed in 1992-1993, way before digital color correction. any guesses as to what film stock was used and with what type of filter? I'd really like to know. I love the look of this film. any ideas would be appreciated! thanks
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted January 6, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 6, 2010 The warmth could have easily been added in post, but it could have also been a warming filter. Back then, most movies were transferred to video from a color-timed IP made after answer-printing was over.
Tom Jensen
5248. It looks like a chocolate with maybe an enhancer. My oranges are really popping on here for some reason.

Also the film you mentioned is that tungsten based? would that have any effect on the warmth? or realistically what would they have done, countered it with some other type of filter or? You use an 85 warming filter out of doors. It could be 5245 which is 50 asa daylight balanced but most people used 48. http://www.tiffen.com/enhancing_filter_pics.htm
