Premium Member Gus Sacks Posted April 10, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted April 10, 2010 http://vimeo.com/10570139 Unoriginal, but a good display of some of the camera's strengths.
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted April 10, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted April 10, 2010 It's very cute, but honestly I wasn't all that impressed by the "look" of the camera. It's not bad in the least, in the outside shots, and art direction works nicely as does location selection, but it really seemed to break apart a bit as soon as it got dim in some of those interiors (such as the open/close and the stuff when he's first born), though I wouldn't say it has a "period" look to my eye as they seemed to have hoped from the little blurb. Saul Rodgar
I know Po and Shane. Glad to see they are doing top notch work, as always. I don't think it is fair to judge the camera's picture strength by looking at an infinitely compressed Vimeo flick tho.
Mei Lewis
Love the way it morphs between vignettes.
Premium Member Hal Smith Posted April 13, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted April 13, 2010 It looked great here at NAB on a 58" (or so) screen. Shane's giving a "Live Education" presentation at the Canon booth on his work. He's drawing HUGE crowds, at least a hundred people with standing room only. There's also a Canon HD theatre with a 10 minute review of clips from various Cinematographer's work with the Canon HDSLR's.
Michael Kubaszak
What's up with all the blown focus pulls? Lotsa buzzing.
