Juan Manuel Cotes
Im a student of cinematography and i need to know how to calculate the diaphragm with the Ev. I know that in 1/24 seg, and EV=12 the diaphragm is f=8, but i dont understand why in my exposimeter, when i have a EV= 12.8 the diaphragm its f=11 1/3... Thanks for your responses. Mark Dunn
An EV is one stop, so 0.8 EV is something between 2/3 and a full stop. So I'd say your meter means you to open up 1/3 stop from f11. Why it deosn't say f8 and 2/3rds I don't know.
