don lee
Has anyone figured out how to monitor the low res output of a video from a video camera (EX-3,EX1r or XDHD700) with a Iphone or Droid? Bluetooth? Maybe HDMI to micro HDMI? thanks
Matt Stevens
That would be something. I know people are using iPhones to record sound when shooting with Super 8, but I've never seen anything about video output.
Tyler JohnsonWilliams
I've been waiting for this to come out. It would be awesome for dolly grips or even boom ops.

Karel Bata
An impressive gadget indeed, but a bit pricey for just monitoring. But good if your client needs a live feed from the camera in some other part of the world.. This topic made me curious,so I looked around a bit, and it seems like our working practices might be facing another little revolution http://www.technologyreview.com/computing/22195/ "Quantenna’s Wi-Fi chip contains four antennas for sending data and four antennas for receiving. While increasing the overall bandwidth, these antennas also enable a technique called beam forming. This creates a line-of-sight wireless link between devices that can transmit a gigabit per second’s worth of data--enough for high-definition video content." 1GB/second? If the signal is stable enough then that's goodbye to traditional recording media - just record straight to laptop! No reason that chip shouldn't be built into the camera either. In the meantime for budget monitoring you might consider something like this http://bit.ly/1km-transmitter I've used similar many times. That one boasts a range of 1km! I also found this amusing little tip on hacking you wi-fi antenna http://www.metacafe.com/watch/837885/wifi_antenna_hack/
Daniel Smith
You might be able to stream the output through firewire onto a laptop, embed the stream in an intranet page and connect the phone via WiFi?
