hi

im going to shoot a chroma key based movie ,on the panasonic ag 3da1 camera - not my first choice!!!

the director want to put the camera on a dolly and crane, do i have to change the convergence during a movement shot, and how will i do that on the crane ??

i know that i cant change the io , on this camera

is it possibele to leave to convergence to the post ?

you can put the convergence at a distance (for example) 1.2m to 10m

then you can put your object at 4m (for example)

then you can dolly or crane until the object is at 1.2m

hope this help

work within the limits as Ram is suggesting. i'm not aware of a remote unit, YET but maybe they'll have one. what effect are you trying to do though and is a convergence pull really necessary?

DO NOT do a pull, unless you can repeat it perfectly - I computer controlled, as you will have to match the pull on the plates. As it is a gs shoot you will be able to simply adjust the convergence in post, so set your convergence for the end of the move. If you were doing this in the wild you could have real problems with a move of this size depending on your background information.
