Any RED Post Issues that could've been accounted for in Production?

Hi There,

 

We have a Director and AVID Editor about to start production in three weeks with a DP who owns and frequently operates the RED MX. Neither the Director nor the Editor have worked with the RED before. Is there any advice or pitfalls we should look for that can be corrected in Production that might be a challenge (or near impossible) to correct in Post?

 

Any common mistakes or issues to be cognizant of while working in Post?

 

Have read Notes on Using Red Camera dated 6-25-09 - (amongst other research) now am looking for an update or any specifics as it pertains to setting our Editor (and short film) up for success.
