Mable Mclvain
http://www.lightupfoto.com/photography-product/lens-cap-canon-dslr-camera I'm so sad that my usual cap has fallen in a river while I was taking photos for the sunset. Now I plan to buy one from the online shopping store. Canon stores that are too expensive. What about this? The price is much cheaper than others. But not sure about the quality. Any ideas? Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted June 20, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted June 20, 2012 It's a plastic cap, if it fits, then what would the quality problems be?
Mark Dunn
Why bother with a lens cap? You only have to waste time taking it off. A hood is more useful. If you need one, they're only 99p on Ebay.
Mable Mclvain
It's my husband who bothered me with the cap. He thought it's a necessity to protect the mirror surface.
Premium Member Chris Keth Posted June 24, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted June 24, 2012 Look at the front of your lens. There will be a number with a symbol that's a little circle with a line through it. That's the size lenscap you need sized by millimeter. The quality will be fine. You'll lose it sooner than break it.
