Karen Rodriguez Posted March 7, 2013 Share Posted March 7, 2013 From someone who was just shooting some hockey for the first time a couple of weeks ago (just for fun and nowhere near as fast), I LOVE this. The opening shot feels unbalanced--I keep wanting to tilt the camera down to compensate for the trajectory of the Zamboni. But once we are on the ice with him, the movement of the player and the camera is really exciting. Also, in terms of the edit, I suggest shortening shots 2 and 3 to get us to the ice quicker. This was actually a test shoot to try different shutter speeds, focal lengths and various camera height. I wanted to see what would be the best technical approach for more visceral hockey action on screen. The music and editing was really just for fun. cheers T.
