Thomas Olivier
Hi, I'm trying to make a compilation of films with low key lighting in them for reference and inspiration. It would be great if some of you could help me by giving me some film titles. Merci! Thomas
Guillaume Cottin
I can safely say Gordon Willis was a master of low key lighting! May his work inspire you! He shot the Godfather 2 & 3, Manhattan... And many more

Premium Member George Ebersole Posted July 11, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted July 11, 2013 "Imposter" is another fairly decent low light sci-fi actioner.

Raphael Van Sitteren
If you want to go extreme in Low Key look at Philippe Grandrieux's movie "Un Lac" Very loooooow key, so don't watch it unless you're in a pitch black room :) The movie won some awards for the image. Oh.... and it's been shot and lit by the director itself...
Alexandre de Tolan
Some collaborations between Sven Nykvist and Ingmar Bergman are very good.
