Joel Pierre Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 What it is better to use to lubricate Bolex gears (here a Bolex G16 projector) some of them are made of a material color "Chocolate" which does not appear to be in metal? - Nothing at all? - Oil? - Grease? According to the G16 manual the gearwheels and claw mechanism are lubricated with 'ASEOL' grease, but you could probably use other high-temp greases suitable for projector gear trains.
