Kitao Sakurai
Hi everybody, I've been asked to get the 'black light' look for an upcomng hip hop promo - by black light I mean everything that's white (or I suppose reflective of the specific wavelength given off by black lights - or UV lights? I'm not sure) will "pop" in frame, usually giving everything else a strange blueish cast. Now, to get this look I know I'll probably have to get ahold of some special flouro bulbs - am I crazy to think that I can just go down to Canal street and pick up some 'black light' bulbs at a dj equpmnet/lighting place that do what I want them to do by eye and swap them into some 4 foot kino fixtures? Are there safety issues involved in doing something like this? Also, do I filter the lens in some way to make the effect more pronounced? FYI this shoots on video. Thanks for your help!
