Scott Imler Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Hi guys I have done a ton of aerials with and with out mounts and will be doing some Tyler Nose Mount shooting with the SDX 900. Over the city about 1000 feet. Nothing to eratic . Just wondering if any of you have done aerials in 24P with the SDX 900 and if the flicker was too much for all the movement. I have shot out the sides of vans in 24 P and it was not a big problem . ANy thoughts feel free to share them? The rest of the show is in 24P so I really want to keep the look for the aerials.
arnieitz Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 (edited) Hi Scott, I do all my aerial work with an SDX-900 - 24p. In general there is no problem with any strobing look unless you get too close. I shoot aerials over NYC and they look great. When I shoot homes or buildings it can get a strobing look with vertical lines if I get in too close in the helicopter. A little further out and it looks great. Since you will be using a Tyler Mount check out my mount which is designed for aerials, automotive and marine use. Take care, Arnie www.aerialexposures.com/gyroplatform.htm Edited April 19, 2005 by arnieitz
